How remeki keeps buying and selling used machinery safe
remeki is built around the same safety principle that's always applied to buying used machinery: inspect it in person before you pay. remeki doesn't process payment for the item itself, doesn't hold funds in escrow, and never asks a buyer to pay before seeing the machine — the deal happens directly between buyer and seller, and every listing can be reported if something looks wrong.
New listings don't go live automatically. Each one is checked before it's published — using a combination of automated risk screening and human review for anything flagged — and only listings that pass are shown to buyers. Sellers can edit a listing at any time, and edits to a previously rejected listing send it back for another review.
A seller can request identity verification from their profile page. Once an admin manually confirms it, a verified badge appears on their profile and listings — look for it, along with their star rating and review count from past buyers, before you deal with someone new.
remeki never processes payment for the machinery itself — there's no escrow account or "pay through the app" option to game, because it doesn't exist. Inspect the machinery in person, confirm it matches the listing, and only pay once you're satisfied, directly to the seller. Every conversation happens through remeki's chat, which keeps a record — a seller who pushes to communicate only outside chat, or to pay before you've seen the item, is a red flag. Every listing has a "Report this ad" link — use it for spam, prohibited items, fraud or scam attempts, duplicate listings, or anything else that looks wrong. Reports go to remeki's moderation team for review, and accounts with repeated confirmed violations can be suspended.
Every seller can be rated by buyers after a deal, and that rating — along with their review count and how long they've been on remeki — is visible on their public profile. It's not a guarantee, but a pattern of ratings from real past buyers is one of the more reliable signals you have before dealing with someone new.
