Seller guide

Practical tips for a listing that actually gets responses. For the general process, see how it works.

Write a title buyers actually search for

Lead with brand, model, and the single most useful spec — "Mahindra 575 DI Tractor, 2018, Single Owner" tells a buyer everything they need to decide whether to click, far more than "Tractor for sale." Avoid all-caps and excessive punctuation; it reads as spam rather than getting more attention.

Photos sell the listing

Take photos in daylight, from multiple angles, including any wear, damage, or repairs — being upfront about condition builds more trust than hiding it, and avoids wasted inquiries from buyers who feel misled once they see it in person. Include a close-up of the hour meter or serial plate if relevant to the category.

Listings can include up to 8 photos. Use as many as are actually useful — a single photo listing gets far fewer serious inquiries than one with clear, honest coverage of the machine.

Fill in every category field

Brand, year, hours used, condition, and capacity (where relevant to your category) aren't optional extras — buyers filter and compare on exactly these fields, and a listing missing them looks less complete than one that fills them in.

Price it to sell, not to test the market

Search remeki for similar machinery in your category before listing to see what comparable equipment is actually priced at. Listing well above the market mostly attracts lowball offers and wastes everyone's time; pricing close to fair market value with a small amount of negotiating room usually moves faster.

Responding to buyers

Reply promptly — buyers messaging several sellers at once will often go with whoever responds first and clearly. Be specific and honest in answers about condition, history, and reason for selling; vague or evasive answers are the fastest way to lose a serious buyer's interest.

Staying safe as a seller

  • Meet serious buyers at the equipment's actual location, not somewhere unfamiliar.
  • Never share OTPs, bank PINs, or card details — no legitimate buyer needs these to pay you.
  • Be cautious of a buyer who wants to pay a "deposit" via an unfamiliar payment app or link before ever seeing the machinery.
  • Keep the conversation in remeki's chat until you're confident in the buyer — it keeps a record if anything goes wrong.

Keep your listing active

Listings older than 60 days can be renewed with one click from My Ads, which bumps them back to the top of search results — worth doing periodically if a listing hasn't sold rather than leaving it to fade down the results.

Build trust with a verified badge

Request seller verification from your profile page — once approved, a visible badge appears on your listings and profile, which buyers consistently respond to more than an unverified account.
